a time before crack

A time before crack, Jamel Shabazz was on the scene, working the streets of New York City, capturing the faces and places of an era that have long since disappeared. His photographs document African American street culture from the mid 70's to the 80's, the hip hop culture and fashion that influenced before crack tore up the neighbourhood.

some quick photos I snapped at Melbourne Spring Fashion Week, super high heels on the marble floors was an amazing sight, I don't think I've seen whiter knuckles holding on the those railings!

Hipsters from behind

pretty photos of pretty people on bikes....from:  www.downtownfrombehind.com

One Hundred Years

These photos are a part of a look book I shot for new Melbourne label Senryu. The summer collection titled One Hundred Years, takes feminine shapes and blends it seamlessly with masculine tailoring that is beautifully demonstrated in the grey petal jacket and the stunning pink gown that is so elegant and falls so amazingly off the body.

So Shoot Me

Neil Krug’s stylized photos were taken with Polaroid film years past its sell-by date. They have the kind of grainy, sun-scorched feel of a spaghetti western. I love the unexpectedness of what you get in a film when you shoot analogue! I putting Neils book Pulp Art on my wish list for Christmas!
